I quite enjoyed the game.except for that one part. I'll never be doing Mass Effect on anything other than casual again. Needless to say, I won't be delving back into that in subsequent playthroughs. Even with an InfiniGio setup – which is not guaranteed to work – it's a huge step up from the rest of the game. I ended up going in and out of that bloody dungeon and killing the bosses something like five or six times because I needed to synth better equipment, which is a ridiculously convoluted process. You're then confronted by three absolutely infuriating squirrel things. Guess what? The boss you struggled to beat will need to be beaten again before you can get in further. As soon as you get Essences from the dungeon's gathering points, you WILL need to leave to craft better weaponry. You'll need to up your game significantly to get past him. Just getting in is an exercise in patience, as the boss guarding the entrance gets two attacks in a row and hits ridiculously hard. OK, so this one is a “once more, then never again” thing, since I'll be playing the HD version of the game soon, but.seriously, psyduck this stupid minigame! You can go round and round in circles for ages and never get the old bastard out of the ring he's like the Marauder Shields of Twilight Princess, and he's right near the start of the game! He's probably the most competent AI in the entire franchise, and it's maddening.Ītelier Meruru Plus' postgame dungeon. Next.the Goron wrestling minigame in Twilight Princess. I don't think I've ever played a harder game, actually. I occasionally get urges to replay Baten Kaitos, but when I remember the gauntlet of bosses it'd throw at me I'm quickly put off it. Kill him immediately or be prepared to lose all of your health whilst he recovers the damage. Finally, the last boss, with his Enchanted Blade spam. Then comes the trio again, twice in a row. THEN comes The Angel of Darkness, who never lets you have a bloody turn.

That's a severe handicap, and reviving them is bloody difficult and determined by luck of the draw, which won't be very lucky at all, because stacking your deck with healing magnus is a sure-fire way to die quickly. THEN comes Geldoblame, whose very first action is to kill off one of your party members. It's a ridiculously steep difficulty climb after the relative ease of the beginning of the game, and you need to grind hard for a decent deck to even survive the first couple of rounds, let alone win. The postgame is typical tri-Ace insanity.īaten Kaitos has so many “never again” moments it's ridiculous. Most people would classify the Idol Escort Mission as a “never again” moment, but if you save your Incendiary Rounds you can do it fairly easily if you stick someone in front of the statue in each area at the start. That done, it's like being pushed back to the beginning of the game in terms of strength.and Resonance of Fate has a very steep learning curve. You need very specific parts to build the parts to customise your guns, which involves a lot of Arena grinding, or grinding very specific enemies which may or may not drop the items you're looking for. Not so much because of the difficulty – although that is certainly a factor, as you need to clear several VERY difficult areas which are harder than the bosses at the end – but because of the sheer amount of prep work required for it.

Neverland in Resonance of Fate easily enters this category for me. I'll platinum Star Ocean 4 before I get this done.

I made a separate PSN account just to do it and deleted said account shortly afterwards just to stop myself from spending hours trying. I've tried EVERYTHING shy of doing it upside down and hanging from the ceiling in my underwear and I still haven't bloody done it! I've seen myself crashing and burning so many times now that I've just given up all hope of ever doing it. I've tried watching, not watching it (that actually got me pretty far) doing it muted to videos, muting the video and watching it. I've synced it up to videos of people doing it. I've tried listening to the song repeatedly so I know the rhythm off by heart and I still fail.

Haha, this one is more like just a “never” for me, because I'm never going to do it. Or, hell, even the requirements to get to the true ending, I could definitely see that. One that I haven't experienced myself, but I predict may be a pick for Meloetta.possibly.
